Star Trek: Insurrection

review by Nancy Hartshorn

Good points:

  1. The crew actually obeying the Prime Directive for once instead of ignoring it, even in the face of opposition by the higher-ups.
  2. The reestablishment of the Riker/Troi relationship.
  3. The in jokes, nice for us Trekkers, but incomprehensible to those who haven't been watching the show all along.

The bad points:

  1. Characters being out of character. I mean Data shooting at people and taking them hostage, Picard and Worf singing and dancing, I mean come on really!
  2. You would think that if the planet was supposed to be a fountain of youth, that Picard would at least grow back a little hair to make himself even more attractive to his new girlfriend. I mean almost everybody else showed signs of the aging process reversing itself, why not him?

Overall grade C+.
