Beautiful, but stupid. If you're OK with that, go see it. If you're not, don't. Also, there's not an original thought in the flick. You'll be quoting lines from the movies it's stealing from as you watch. (At least, we did.) But it is really pretty. And there's one sequence in particular where it goes from "stupid" to "riveting, almost majestic" for about three and a half minutes. It's one of the prettiest sequences in the film, and it even kinda makes sense. (Even if you'll be humming the music from Other Film as you're watching it.)
Pretty brain-candy factor: **** of ****
Plot: * of ****, unless you've seen none of the movies from which it's stealing, in which case it's ** 1/2 of ****, losing half a point to the remarkably bad editing. (I honestly think some scenes just didn't get finished in time, and they edited around it as best they could.)
